The time has come to register for camp

High School and Jr High students here at First Christian Church are encouraged to attend summer camp at El Porvenir Christian Camp in New Mexico this summer. We will be sending groups to two different weeks of camp.

HIGH SCHOOL CAMP (For students entering the 9th through 12th grades): June 3 - 8

JR HIGH CAMP (For students entering the 6th through 8th grades): June 16 - 21

To register your student for their week of camp please click the button below. Please register campers with the camper code: STARLIGHT so that they can be added to our group and so that scholarship from First Christian can be attached to their account. If you are registering as a sponsor (please talk to pastor Brent in you are interested in sponsoring) please use the code: HEART4KIDS. Once you have registered please text pastor Brent at 806-884-9826 so that he can update his master list once you are registered. Other useful info about camp

Camper Money:  Please provide your campers with some spending money to bring with them.  Snacks, souvenirs, paintball, road snacks and the missions offerings are not paid for by the church.  $50 is a suggested minimum. The church is covering the registration cost of the camp, the cost of the trip, and meals for there and back.

Medications:  All medications must be kept in their original packaging.  The adult sponsors traveling with kids are primarily responsible to track their student’s medicine usage. When we arrive at the camp, the camp nurse will keep all medicines for students at the nurses station.

Clothing:  Closed toed shoes are required for hikes, ropes course, and paintball. Jackets will be needed after dark. Modesty in clothing choices will help us keep a strong focus on Christ.

Cell Phone & WIFI:  Parents please know that campers will be outside of cell service and wifi coverage during their week of camp.  Even if they sneak their phone in, it won't work. If there is an emergency and you need to contact your student at camp please call the main camp number at 505-425-6022. If it is not an emergency we encourage you to send a physical letter or package to your student during their week of camp, but make sure you send it 5 days in advance to make sure it gets there. Please check the camp Facebook page for any current happenings or situations.

What to Bring:  Every registered person will receive a “what to bring” list via an email confirmation. 

Sponsors: All of the adults going to camp with us are required to do a background check at First Christian before we leave. Please contact Brent if you have not yet been background checked at the church.

High School Students Only: Frontline, our worship band from Ozark Christian College, will once again be leading us in worship to our Creator through music. They have created a Spotify playlist (linked below) for us to share with campers and get them pumped about attending High School Camp!
